Dropie is a secure document automation platform that helps businesses collect data through encrypted forms, generate documents automatically, collect e-signatures, and share documents through secure datarooms and client portals. It replaces insecure email attachments and paper-based processes with encrypted, automated workflows.

Do my clients need to create an account to use Dropie?

No. Your clients can submit forms, sign documents, and access their portals without creating a Dropie account. They simply use secure links you send them and verify their email address when required.

What languages does Dropie support?

Dropie supports multiple languages for forms, documents, and the interface. This is especially useful for businesses with international clients. The AI document processing supports 200+ languages for OCR and data extraction.

Features

What types of files can I upload?

Dropie accepts virtually any file type for uploads through forms and datarooms. Files up to 1GB are supported. For AI document processing (OCR and field detection), PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, and TIFF formats are supported.

Can I generate documents automatically?

Yes. You can upload PDF templates with placeholders and Dropie will automatically fill them with data from form submissions. The field mapping system supports transformations like date formatting, text case changes, and conditional content.

Are e-signatures legally binding?

Yes. Dropie e-signatures are legally binding under the US ESIGN Act, EU eIDAS regulation, and similar laws worldwide. Each signature includes comprehensive audit trails and forensic evidence. For maximum legal validity in the EU, Dropie supports Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) via eIDAS-compliant integration.

What is a Receive Page?

A Receive Page is a secure, branded webpage where clients can submit forms and upload documents. Each page has a unique URL that you share with clients. They can be customized with your branding and configured with expiration dates and submission limits.

What is a Dataroom?

A Dataroom is a secure virtual space for sharing documents with external parties. You control who can access which documents, track all viewing activity, and maintain complete audit trails. Datarooms are commonly used for M&A due diligence, legal discovery, and client collaboration.

What is a Client Portal?

A Client Portal gives your clients secure access to their documents. Clients verify their email address to access, and can view, download, and submit documents through the portal. Portals can be branded with your company identity.

Security

How is my data encrypted?

All data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit. This is the same encryption standard used by banks and financial institutions. Form submissions, files, and sensitive information are encrypted before storage.

Where is my data stored?

Data is stored in European Union data centers. This applies to both primary data and backups.

Does Dropie support multi-factor authentication?

Yes. Dropie supports email verification and Google Authenticator (TOTP) for multi-factor authentication. SMS verification is available on Business tier and above.

How long are audit logs kept?

Audit history is plan-dependent: Professional includes 90 days and Business three years. Enterprise history and export requirements are defined in the plan comparison and contract. Signature-provider evidence may have separate retention terms.

Is Dropie GDPR compliant?

Yes. Dropie is designed with GDPR compliance in mind. We support data deletion (right to be forgotten), data portability, consent management, and maintain comprehensive records of processing activities.

Pricing & Plans

Is there a free trial?

New accounts start with a 14-day Professional trial. No credit card is required. There is no permanent free plan. After the trial, choose Professional, Business or a custom Enterprise plan; the Pricing page lists the current limits.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Do you offer enterprise pricing?

Yes. For organizations with custom requirements, we offer Enterprise plans with custom limits, dedicated support, and additional features. Contact our sales team for details.

Technical

Does Dropie have an API?

Yes. Dropie provides a REST API for integrating with your existing systems. Webhooks are also available for real-time notifications of events like form submissions and signature completions. API access is available on Professional tier and above.

What integrations are available?

Dropie integrates with Stripe for payment collection and uses Google Document AI and Azure Document Intelligence for AI document processing. Additional integrations can be built using our webhooks and API.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. On Professional tier and above, you can configure a custom domain (like documents.yourcompany.com) for your receive pages and client portals.

What browsers are supported?

Dropie works with all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Mobile browsers are fully supported with responsive design.
